Gosh! Is it India or Singapore? Magic! I felt like I'm in Singapore. I've heard and read on internet that Indira Gandhi Airport is not good enough, too crowded, looks like in slum area and so much opinions in negative side. But, look what I've found!
When I went down from the airplane for the first time on terminal 3 Indira Gandhi International Airport, I really felt comfortable. They use carpet on the floor. The design is modern and believe me, it;s clean 100 percent include the toilet too!!!
First impression was fantastic! I walk away until I found the immigration on the ground floor. Wow, they built hand sculpture on the wall.
Each of the hand has own style, seems like they will dance. Perfect! Unfortunately,I was doubt to taking picture in there because the sculpture is in the immigration. Yeah, taking picture is prohibited!
One more thing that makes me so amaze. Indhira Gandi Airport has Automatic Parking Car! So, if you go there by car, the machine will looking the location to park your car only in 5 minute! Super wow!
How about the public transportation to go to the airport? They have MRT that connected with it! This is wonderful. I just imagine, when Indonesia has such kind transportation and also the new airport with better facilities.
Next destination: Visa on Arrival
Because I'm indonesian, I have to make visa on arrival before I go out from airport. So I went to that place near the immigration. Two staff has waiting at the counter. There 4 -5 person from Malaysia and Japan in the queue. They made too VOA.
The staff is friendly. I thought, they were be grumpy but they are not. After I fulfilled the application, they ask me for the fee of VoA, its 60 usd or 2750 rupee.
I prefered to pay in rupee because Dabu has told me, if I paid with Dollar they will charge me for the payment.
And, here is it! The caracter of Indian has appeared. Hehehe, the staff ask me for fixed money but I didn't have. I only have 3000 rupee or 100 dollar.
"Mam, do you have fixed money? I don't have any change for 3000 rupee" said the staff.
"What? How come? It means I loose my 250 rupee (250x250 rp=Rp 62500)? (Aje gile lumayun aja tuh duit segitu!)" asked me.
"Hmm, how about if I give you extend visa until 25 Octo? Normally, you only have the visa until 21, I make it longer because I don't have any change for your money," said him again.
"Oh, my god, I don't wanna stay along I just my money back!" I said. I dont wanna accept his offering. O, cmon, he didn't want give me the change and he will give me extra bonus extended visa. It's a big NO NO!
Not for longtime, his friend come. And lucky me, he brought uang pecahan rupee. Aha, at the moment, I said,"That's the change! I can get my 250! Hehe" I give smile to th staff and menggerakan kedua mata.
"Oke, mam, here is your change," said the staff. But he just gave me visa until 25 octo, so I'm lucky! Hahhhhaahaa. Hey, you can not cheat on me!
Sometimes you just have to be patient and keep debate with the officer to get what you need. Yeah, remember this is India. They like to offer you anything!
Tips for VOA:
Don't forget bring fixed money in rupee or dollar! They will not provide the change money. Sometime if you are lucky as like as me, they can give you the change but otherwise, maybe you loose your change. So bring 2750 rupee or 60 USD! Important!
Bring your pictures (3x4) or 4x6, one for each pictures
Don't forget bring the copy form of your booking hotel payment. If you are stay at friend's or family house, jut write down the addres and the phone number.
NB : Hehehe, entah saya lagi mimpi atau kerasukan, yang jelas saat nulis ini saya lagi kebangun di hari pertama di Delhi dan menunggu Dabu yang masih asyik tertidur.
Tiba-tiba, saya iseng bikin tulisan di BB dengan menggunakan English yang ala kadarnya. Smeoga bisa dinikmati. Nantikan cerita selanjutnya, ya...hehehe
